NASHVILLE, TN | THE FIRST FEW WEEKS

 Nashville Sign, Biscuit Love.

Nashville Sign, Biscuit Love.

It's been a few weeks since I packed up my Toyota Avalon- that poor car is quite the trooper- and made the trek from Des Moines to Nashville. If I could look back and tell myself all the things that would happen within my first few weeks in the city, I would never believe it. With three weeks under my belt, I'm happy to say that not only am I a new-found city driver, (HA, okay, we're still working on that...) but my guitar has hit the road with me a few times, and we've wound up in a few fun situations: open mic nights, open piano invitations, and meeting plenty of new friends to collaborate with!

Along with meeting new friends, I've had some help lining up a band and producer to begin recording my first five song EP within the next few weeks! I've also accepted an internship working to pitch songs to Country Music publishers, and am now a member of GRAMMY U and CMA EDU. Let's be honest: I couldn't be more excited to see what these great educational groups have in store.

Recently I was also lucky enough to attend the ACM Honor Awards at the Ryman Auditorium, and to listen and learn from some of my favorite artists. After quick conversations sitting next to Little Big Town, I've decided 'I've got a Girl Crush' on the whole band!

The thing is, in Nashville, it feels like anything is possible. The people are kind, the music is wonderful, and God is ever so present. As the weeks continue on I'll have to continue to remind myself not to blink; What music says often is true, "ya don't want to miss a thing".

Thanks for stopping by my new site, and supporting me in this wild journey.

'Til next time!
